Cinnamon Rolls

Have you ever eaten those delicious cinnamon rolls at the mall and wondered how the heck they make them? Here’s a recipe that tastes almost identical to the ones you buy at the mall. This yummy treat will satisfy every craving and will have your house smelling absolutely divine!

DOUGH                                                                           FILLING
1/4 cup warm water                                                     1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted                                 1 cup brown sugar
1/2 package of vanilla pudding                                 4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup warm milk                                                            CREAM CHEESE ICING
1 egg                                                                               1/2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 tbsp sugar                                                                    1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 tsp salt                                                                       1 cup powdered sugar
4 cups bread flour                                                          1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 package yeast                                                            1 1/2 tsp milk

Combine all your ingredients into a bowl and knead into dough.

Roll the dough out into a 17x10 inch rectangle.

Spread the softened butter onto the dough. Stir the brown sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle it over.

Beginning with the long sides, roll up the dough. Slice into 16 one inch rolls.

Place your rolls on a buttered baking sheet. Place the tray in a warm place for 45 mins until the rolls double in size.

Combine all your ingredients for the icing into a bowl.

Using a handheld mixer, mix everything together until you get a creamy consistency.

Once the rolls have risen, place the baking sheet on the middle rack and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 - 20 mins. These cinnamon rolls are ideal with the cream cheese icing, but will also taste just as great alone.

I hope you guys enjoy this recipe just as much as I do! If you would rather pass on the icing, caramel is a great substitute topped with some chopped pecans. Try it out and don’t be afraid to play around with the flavours!
